Das Archinstall-Installationsprogramm 3.0 wurde ver\u00f6ffentlicht, das seit April 2021 als Option in die Installations-ISO-Images von Arch Linux integriert ist. Archinstall arbeitet im Konsolenmodus und kann anstelle des standardm\u00e4\u00dfig angebotenen manuellen Installationsmodus der Distribution verwendet werden. Der Code von Archinstall ist in Python geschrieben und wird unter der GPLv3-Lizenz ver\u00f6ffentlicht. <\/p>\n

Archinstall bietet einen gef\u00fchrten (guided) und automatisierten Modus. Im automatisierten Modus besteht die M\u00f6glichkeit, Skripte zur Bereitstellung typischer Konfigurationen zu verwenden. Der Installer unterst\u00fctzt auch Installationsprofile, zum Beispiel das Profil \u201edesktop\u201c zur Auswahl der Arbeitsumgebung (KDE, GNOME, Awesome) und zur Installation der erforderlichen Pakete, oder die Profile \u201ewebserver\u201c und \u201edatabase\u201c zur Auswahl und Installation von Webserver- und Datenbankkomponenten. Vor vier Jahren wurde ein Versuch unternommen, eine Version von Archinstall mit einer grafischen Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che f\u00fcr die Installation zu erstellen, aber dies wurde nicht weiterverfolgt. <\/p>\n

In der neuen Version von Archinstall wurde die Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che im Konsolenmodus vollst\u00e4ndig \u00fcberarbeitet und verwendet jetzt die Curses-Bibliothek. Die Verwendung von Curses hat es erm\u00f6glicht, das Erscheinungsbild zu verbessern, die Benutzerfreundlichkeit zu erh\u00f6hen und komplexere Layouts der Benutzerschnittstelle zu implementieren, in der nun ein separater Bildschirmbereich mit st\u00e4ndig sichtbarem Men\u00fc vorhanden ist. Dar\u00fcber hinaus wurde an der Verbesserung der Codequalit\u00e4t und der Erweiterung des Testumfangs gearbeitet.
