Die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von Siduction 2024.1, einer desktoporientierten Linux-Distribution, die auf der Debian Sid (unstable) Paketbasis basiert, wurde vorgestellt. Die Distribution Siduction hat sich 2011 vom Projekt Aptosid getrennt, um aktuelle Versionen von KDE aus dem experimentellen Qt-KDE-Repository bereitzustellen. Aptosid hingegen trennte sich 2010 von der Distribution Sidux aufgrund von Konflikten zwischen den Entwicklern. Zum Download stehen Builds auf Basis von KDE (3,5 GB), Xfce (2,7 GB) und LXQt (3 GB) sowie ein minimalistisches \u201enoX\u201c-Build (1 GB) und ein Xorg-Build (2 GB) f\u00fcr Benutzer, die ihre Arbeitsumgebung selbst erstellen m\u00f6chten, zur Verf\u00fcgung. Die Builds von Siduction 2024.1 mit GNOME, Cinnamon und MATE wurden aufgrund fehlender Begleitmaterialien nicht erstellt (diese Umgebungen k\u00f6nnen aus dem Repository installiert werden). <\/p>\n

In der neuen Version wurde die Paketbasis mit dem Repository Debian Unstable synchronisiert. Die Versionen des Linux-Kernels 6.12, des Systemmanagers systemd 257 und des Installers Calamares wurden aktualisiert. Aus den Desktops stehen KDE Plasma 6.2 mit standardm\u00e4\u00dfiger Verwendung von Wayland (in der vorherigen Version wurde die KDE 5-Aktualisierung verwendet), LXQt 2.1 und Xfce 4.20 zur Verf\u00fcgung. Die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr das Btrfs-Dateisystem wurde erweitert, welches zur Verwaltung von Snapshots das Tool Snapper enth\u00e4lt, das in SUSE Linux verwendet wird. Au\u00dferdem wurde die M\u00f6glichkeit hinzugef\u00fcgt, den Bootloader systemd-boot mit Btrfs-Partitionen zu verwenden, zus\u00e4tzlich zu GRUB. <\/p>\n
