Das Tool erm\u00f6glicht es, Patches, die von dem Programm diff erstellt wurden, auf Dateien anzuwenden. Der Code ist in C geschrieben und wird unter der GPLv3+-Lizenz verbreitet.      <\/p>\n<p>In der neuen Version:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Das Problem des Jahres 2038 wurde behoben \u2013 das Tool verarbeitet jetzt korrekt die Zeitdaten von Dateien, die nach 2038 erstellt wurden, selbst auf Plattformen mit 32-Bit time_t.\n<li class=\"l\"> Die Option \u00ab\u2013follow-symlinks\u00bb gilt jetzt nicht nur f\u00fcr Eingabedateien, sondern auch f\u00fcr die zu erstellenden Dateien.\n<li class=\"l\"> Gem\u00e4\u00df den Anforderungen des POSIX.1-2024 Standards ist die Verwendung von Zeilenumbr\u00fcchen in Dateinamen verboten.\n<li class=\"l\"> Die Verwendung von Nullbytes (\u2019\\0\u2019) in Strings mit diff-Direktiven ist untersagt.\n<li class=\"l\"> Das Angeben von Leerzeichen und Tabulatoren vor und nach den Zeilennummern ist erlaubt.\n<li class=\"l\"> Es wurde daran gearbeitet, undefiniertes oder falsches Verhalten in Ausnahmesituationen zu eliminieren, z. B. bei der Verarbeitung von sehr gro\u00dfen Feldgr\u00f6\u00dfen, E\/A-Fehlern, Speichermangel, Race Conditions und dem Senden von Signalen zur Unzeit.\n<li class=\"l\"> Der alte Code \u00abPlan B\u00bb, der f\u00fcr Systeme mit 16-Bit-Zeigern entwickelt wurde, wurde entfernt.\n<li class=\"l\"> Die Anforderungen an den Compiler wurden erh\u00f6ht, der nun den C99-Standard unterst\u00fctzen muss (fr\u00fcher war C89 erforderlich).\n<li class=\"l\"> Die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr neue Versionen von GCC, Autoconf und Gnulib wurde hinzugef\u00fcgt.    <\/ul>\n<p>Quelle: <a
