Microsoft hat die Bildung offizieller Builds mit Fedora Linux f\u00fcr das Windows-Subsystem f\u00fcr Linux (WSL) bekannt gegeben. Ende April wurden \u00e4hnliche Builds f\u00fcr Arch Linux und AlmaLinux ver\u00f6ffentlicht. F\u00fcr Arch Linux sind monatliche Updates dieser Builds geplant, w\u00e4hrend die anderen nach Erscheinen neuer Releases aktualisiert werden. <\/p>\n

Die Builds mit Fedora, AlmaLinux und Arch Linux sind im \u00fcber das WSL-Repository verf\u00fcgbaren Angebot an Linux-Distributionen f\u00fcr eine schnelle Installation in WSL enthalten. Weitere Distributionen im WSL-Angebot sind Debian GNU\/Linux, Ubuntu, openSUSE Leap, openSUSE Tumbleweed, SUSE Linux Enterprise, Kali Linux und Oracle Linux. Um die Builds zu installieren, gen\u00fcgt es, in Windows den Befehl \u201ewsl \u2014install \u201c auszuf\u00fchren, zum Beispiel \u201ewsl \u2014install FedoraLinux-42\u201c, \u201ewsl \u2014install archlinux\u201c oder \u201ewsl \u2014install AlmaLinux-9\u201c. <\/p>\n

Die Builds sind im neuen Format erstellt, das eine Verbreitung der Distribution von eigenen Server<\/a> ohne Download im Microsoft Store, ohne Verpackung im appx-Format und ohne spezifischen Windows-Code. Der Kernel enth\u00e4lt spezifische \u00c4nderungen f\u00fcr WSL, wie Optimierungen zur Reduzierung der Startzeit und des Speicherverbrauchs, die M\u00f6glichkeit, von Linux-Prozessen freigegebenen Speicher in Windows zur\u00fcckzugeben, sowie Anpassungen zur Deaktivierung \u00fcberfl\u00fcssiger Treiber und Subsysteme.
