Die Entwickler des Artix Linux-Distributions haben experimentelle Builds vorgestellt, die auf die Nutzung von XLibre, einem Fork des X.Org Servers, umgestellt wurden. Artix Linux basiert auf der Paketbasis von Arch Linux und zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass anstelle von systemd die Systemmanager openrc, runit, dinit und s6 zur Auswahl des Nutzers verwendet werden. F\u00fcr Tests wurden XLibre-Bauteile mit den Desktop-Umgebungen Xfce, Cinnamon und MATE in Gr\u00f6\u00dfen von 2 GB sowie ein vollst\u00e4ndiges Build mit 4,6 GB erstellt. In naher Zukunft sollen XLibre auch in die Haupt-Builds der Distribution integriert werden. Benutzer bestehender Installationen von Artix Linux k\u00f6nnen auf XLibre wechseln, indem sie das Paket xlibre-xserver und die erforderlichen Treiber xlibre-xf86-* aus dem Repository \u201egalaxy-gremlins\u201c installieren.
