Artix Linux basiert auf der Paketbasis von Arch Linux und zeichnet sich durch die Nutzung von Systemmanagern wie openrc, runit, dinit und s6 anstelle von systemd aus, je nach Wahl des Nutzers. F\u00fcr Tests wurden XLibre-Bausteine mit den Desktop-Umgebungen Xfce, Cinnamon und MATE in einer Gr\u00f6\u00dfe von 2 GB sowie ein vollst\u00e4ndiger Build mit 4,6 GB erstellt. In naher Zukunft beabsichtigt XLibre, auch in den Hauptversionen der Distribution Verwendung zu finden. Nutzer bestehender Artix Linux-Installationen k\u00f6nnen auf XLibre umsteigen, indem sie das Paket xlibre-xserver und die erforderlichen Treiber xlibre-xf86-* aus dem Repository «galaxy-gremlins» installieren.
