Die Entwickler der AlmaLinux-Distribution haben eine neue Version des ELevate-Tools vorgestellt, das die Migration zwischen wichtigen Versionen von Distributionen, die auf der Paketbasis von Red Hat Enterprise Linux basieren, erleichtert und dabei Anwendungen, Daten und Einstellungen beibeh\u00e4lt. Bei der Migration wird das von Red Hat entwickelte Tool Leapp verwendet, das durch Patches erg\u00e4nzt wird, die die Besonderheiten von CentOS und anderen Distributionen, die auf der RHEL-Paketbasis basieren, ber\u00fccksichtigen. In dem Projekt wird auch ein erweitertes Set von Metadaten verwendet, das die Schritte zur \u00dcbertragung einzelner Pakete von einem Zweig der Distribution zu einem anderen beschreibt. <\/p>\n

F\u00fcr die Migration gen\u00fcgt es, das vom Projekt bereitgestellte Repository anzuschlie\u00dfen, das Paket mit dem Migrationsszenario f\u00fcr die gew\u00e4hlte Distribution (leapp-data-almalinux, leapp-data-centos, leapp-data-oraclelinux, leapp-data-rocky) zu installieren und das Tool \u201eleapp\u201c zu starten.
