Die erste Version von FRANK OS wurde ver\u00f6ffentlicht \u2013 ein Betriebssystem f\u00fcr Computer, die auf dem Mikrocontroller RP2350 basieren und auf FreeRTOS basieren. Das Betriebssystem unterst\u00fctzt eine Desktop-Umgebung mit grafischer Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che und bietet teilweise Kompatibilit\u00e4t zur POSIX-Schnittstelle. Der Quellcode ist in C geschrieben und steht unter der Lizenz GPL-3.0+ zur Verf\u00fcgung. <\/p>\n

Unterst\u00fctzt werden PS\/2-Tastaturen und -M\u00e4use, Secure Digital-Speicherkarten, sowie die Bildausgabe auf DVI-Monitore. Es ist m\u00f6glich, auf Raspberry Pi Pico 2- und FRANK M2-Boards zu arbeiten. Das Betriebssystem erm\u00f6glicht das Ausf\u00fchren von ausf\u00fchrbaren Dateien im ELF-Format und bietet Kompatibilit\u00e4t mit Anwendungen f\u00fcr Murmulator OS 2. <\/p>\n

Mit dem Task-Manager von FreeRTOS wird pr\u00e4emptives Multitasking mit Aufgabenaufteilung f\u00fcr Eingabe, Komposition, USB und Anwendungen realisiert. Es steht eine Desktop-Umgebung mit Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr \u00fcberlappende Fenster, Men\u00fcs, einer Taskleiste mit einem Startmen\u00fc und der M\u00f6glichkeit zur Objekthandhabung per Maus zur Verf\u00fcgung. Im Lieferumfang sind Programme wie ein grafischer Dateimanager, ein mehrere Terminal-Emulator und eine interaktive Kommandozeile enthalten. Als Dateisystem kommt FAT32 zum Einsatz.
