Das vorgeschlagene Dateisystem bietet eine Schicht f\u00fcr verteilte Datei-Sperren, die auf DLM (Distributed Lock Manager) und ramfs basiert. Die Implementierung von DLMPFS ist in Form eines Patch-Sets f\u00fcr den Linux-Kernel 6.19 verf\u00fcgbar.      <\/p>\n<p>DLMPFS erm\u00f6glicht die Arbeit mit einer f\u00fcr mehrere Hosts gemeinsamen Dateihierarchie, das Erstellen und L\u00f6schen von Dateien und Verzeichnissen sowie das Setzen und Aufheben von Sperren auf Dateien mithilfe der Standardfunktionen flock() und fcntl(). Dabei erlaubt DLMPFS weder das Schreiben noch das Lesen von Daten aus Dateien, sondern beschr\u00e4nkt sich ausschlie\u00dflich auf Sperrvorg\u00e4nge. Eine Einschr\u00e4nkung ist auch, dass der Status einer Sperre nur ermittelt werden kann, wenn der vollst\u00e4ndige Dateipfad zur gesperrten Datei bekannt ist (DLM erfordert den Ressourcennamen zur Bestimmung der Sperre).      <\/p>\n<p>Mit DLMPFS k\u00f6nnen bestehende Anwendungen, die auf das Setzen von Sperren \u00fcber die API flock\/fcntl angewiesen sind, leicht an die Verwendung von verteilten Sperren angepasst werden, die mehrere Hosts im Cluster abdecken, ohne spezielle verteilte Dateisysteme zur Datenspeicherung einbeziehen zu m\u00fcssen.     <\/p>\n<p>DLMPFS unterscheidet sich von dem bereits bestehenden \u00e4hnlichen Dateisystem DLMFS dadurch, dass es die API flock\/fcntl anstelle der f\u00fcr das Dateisystem OCFS2 spezifischen API verwendet. Geplant ist die Hinzuf\u00fcgung von verteilten Sperren, die in der POSIX-Spezifikation bezeichnet sind, sowie die M\u00f6glichkeit, verschiedene Backends anzuschlie\u00dfen, um nicht nur mit DLM, sondern auch mit anderen Verwaltern verteilter Sperren wie NFS lockd zu integrieren.        <\/p>\n<p>Beispiel f\u00fcr die Verwendung (auf dem zweiten Knoten wird die Sperre auf die Datei \/mnt\/lock
