Das vorgeschlagene FS bietet eine Schicht f\u00fcr verteilte Dateisperren, die auf DLM (Distributed Lock Manager) und ramfs basiert. Die Implementierung von DLMPFS ist in Form von Patch-Sets f\u00fcr den Linux-Kernel 6.19 verf\u00fcgbar.      <\/p>\n<p>DLMPFS erm\u00f6glicht die Arbeit mit einer gemeinsamen Dateihierarchie f\u00fcr mehrere Hosts, das Erstellen und L\u00f6schen von Dateien und Verzeichnissen sowie das Setzen und Entfernen von Dateisperren \u00fcber die Standardfunktionen flock() und fcntl(). Bei DLMPFS ist es jedoch nicht m\u00f6glich, Daten aus Dateien zu lesen oder zu schreiben; es beschr\u00e4nkt sich ausschlie\u00dflich auf Sperroperationen. Eine weitere Einschr\u00e4nkung besteht darin, dass der Status einer Sperre nur bestimmt werden kann, wenn der vollst\u00e4ndige Dateipfad zur gesperrten Datei bekannt ist (DLM ben\u00f6tigt den Ressourcennamen zur Bestimmung der Sperre).      <\/p>\n<p>Mit DLMPFS lassen sich bestehende Anwendungen, die Blockierungen \u00fcber die API flock\/fcntl setzen, einfach auf verteilte Sperren umstellen, die mehrere Hosts in einem Cluster abdecken, ohne dass spezielle verteilte Dateisysteme f\u00fcr die Datenspeicherung erforderlich sind.     <\/p>\n<p>DLMPFS unterscheidet sich von dem bereits existierenden \u00e4hnlichen Dateisystem DLMFS dadurch, dass die API flock\/fcntl anstelle der spezifischen API des Dateisystems OCFS2 verwendet wird. Zuk\u00fcnftig sollen in DLMPFS verteilte Sperren implementiert werden, die in der POSIX-Spezifikation aufgef\u00fchrt sind, sowie die M\u00f6glichkeit, verschiedene Backends anzuschlie\u00dfen, um
