In den mit CPython gelieferten Klassen zur Dekompression von komprimierten Daten in den Formaten lzma, bz2 und gzip (lzma.LZMADecompressor, bz2.BZ2Decompressor und gzip.GzipFile) wurde eine Sicherheitsanf\u00e4lligkeit (CVE-2026-6100) festgestellt, die zu Zugriffen auf den Speicher nach dessen Freigabe f\u00fchrt. Dieses Problem wurde mit einer kritischen Gefahrenstufe (9.1 von 10) eingestuft \u2014 im Falle einer erfolgreichen Ausnutzung k\u00f6nnte die Schwachstelle zu einem Informationsleck aus dem Prozessspeicher oder zur Ausf\u00fchrung von Angreifer-Code beim Dekomprimieren speziell gestalteter Daten f\u00fchren. Eine Behebung ist derzeit in Form eines Patches verf\u00fcgbar. <\/p>\n

Das Problem tritt nach Abschluss des Speicherzuweisungsprozesses auf, wobei ein Fehler auftritt, der durch Speichermangel verursacht wird (f\u00fcr eine erfolgreiche Ausnutzung der Schwachstelle muss der Angreifer Bedingungen schaffen, die den verf\u00fcgbaren Speicher des Prozesses ersch\u00f6pfen). Der Zugriff auf bereits freigegebenen Speicher tritt in Anwendungen auf, die eine Objektinstanz nach R\u00fcckgabe eines Fehlers im Entpackungsprozess wiederverwenden. Anwendungen, die bei jedem Aufruf eine neue Objektinstanz erstellen, sind von der Schwachstelle nicht betroffen.
