Joomla bietet Funktionen wie Tools zur Benutzer- und Medienverwaltung, Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr die Erstellung mehrsprachiger Seitenvarianten, ein Kampagnenmanagementsystem, ein Adressbuch f\u00fcr Benutzer, Umfragen, eine integrierte Suche, ein Linkkategorisierungssystem und eine \u00dcberwachung der Klicks, einen WYSIWYG-Editor, ein Template-System, die Verwaltung von Nachrichtenstr\u00f6men, ein XML-RPC-API zur Integration mit anderen Systemen, Seiten-Caching und eine Sammlung von Erweiterungen. Der Projektcode ist in PHP geschrieben und wird unter der GPLv2-Lizenz verbreitet.      <\/p>\n<p>Wichtige \u00c4nderungen in der neuen Version:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Ein neuer Bot-Schutz-Plugin (Proof-of-Work CAPTCHA) wurde implementiert, der nicht von Drittanbieter-APIs abh\u00e4ngt und die \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung durch die Ausf\u00fchrung von Hintergrund-Mathematikberechnungen (Hash-Iterationen) unbemerkt vom Benutzer durchf\u00fchrt.
