Das Museum ist als Abbild einer virtuellen Maschine mit Linux gestaltet, mit einer Auswahl an Emulatoren und einer integrierten grafischen Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che zur Navigation durch die vorhandene Sammlung. Dem Benutzer wird die M\u00f6glichkeit geboten, jede Betriebssystem in Echtzeit kennenzulernen, indem sie im Emulator gestartet wird. Das Museum basiert auf einer Sammlung von Emulatoren, die der Autor des Projekts seit 2003 zusammengestellt hat.     <\/p>\n<p>Es stehen zwei Versionen zum Download zur Verf\u00fcgung: die vollst\u00e4ndige (121 GB zip), die die gesamte Sammlung von etwa 1700 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/de\/vps\/\" title=\"virtuelle Maschinen\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">virtuelle Maschinen<\/a>, die mehr als 250 Plattformen und 570 Betriebssysteme abdeckt, und die reduzierte (14 GB), die nur das Linux-System, den Installer, eine Auswahl an Emulatoren und eine grafische Anwendung zum dynamischen Laden der ausgew\u00e4hlten Systemabbilder von Betriebssystemen enth\u00e4lt. Der Download der virtuellen Maschine in QEMU, VirtualBox und UTM wird unterst\u00fctzt.     <\/p>\n<p>Alle Elemente der Sammlung sind vorkonfiguriert und bereit f\u00fcr eine Einf\u00fchrungssitzung. Es wird unterst\u00fctzt, Umgebungen mit getesteten Betriebssystemen auf den Ursprungszustand zur\u00fcckzusetzen, um die Funktion im Falle einer Besch\u00e4digung des Systems w\u00e4hrend der Experimente wiederherzustellen. Die grafische Anwendung, Skripte und Metadaten werden unter der Lizenz CC-BY-NC-SA verbreitet, die die Nutzung zu nicht-kommerziellen Zwecken erlaubt.      <\/p>\n<p>Das fr\u00fcheste Exemplar der Sammlung ist auf das Jahr 1948 datiert (Computer Manchester Baby). Folgende Betriebssysteme stehen ebenfalls zur Verf\u00fcgung:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Scheme A \u2014 das erste Betriebssystem, das 1951 ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurde.\n<li class=\"l\">  IBM IBSYS, 1410 OS und 1410 POS, die ersten Betriebssysteme von IBM, die zwischen 1960 und 1971 erstellt wurden.\n<li class=\"l\"> B5000 MCP \u2014 das erste Betriebssystem in einer Hochsprache.\n<li class=\"l\"> CTSS \u2014 das erste Multitasking-Betriebssystem (1961-72).\n<li class=\"l\"> Multics \u2014 das erste Betriebssystem mit hierarchischem Dateisystem (1964), Vorl\u00e4ufer von Unix.\n<li class=\"l\"> Verschiedene fr\u00fche Versionen von Unix (PDP-7 Unix \u00abV0\u00bb, PDP-11 Unix V1).\n<li class=\"l\"> Betriebssysteme f\u00fcr Mainframes.\n<li class=\"l\"> Xerox Alto OS und
