Eine weitere Welle solcher Archivierungen wurde Ende Mai festgestellt: Laut Phoronix wurden am 23. Mai Projekte, die mit OBS Studio, CVE-Scanning, Video-Transkodierung, SGX und den Forschungsarbeiten von Intel Labs verbunden sind, in die Liste aufgenommen.<\/p>\n<p>Die neue Archivierungswelle umfasst:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<noindex><noindex><\/p>\n<p><strong><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/intel\/thunderboltshare\">Thunderbolt Share OBS Studio Plugin<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 ein Plugin f\u00fcr OBS Studio, das es erm\u00f6glichte, Bild und Ton von einem Computer zu erfassen und sie \u00fcber Intel Thunderbolt Share an einen anderen zu \u00fcbertragen. Im Repository befindet sich bereits eine Standardwarnung von Intel: Das Projekt wurde archiviert, das Unternehmen garantiert keine weiteren Entwicklungen, Wartungen, Korrekturen, neue Releases und nimmt keine Patches mehr entgegen.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/noindex>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p><strong><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/intel\/cve-bin-tool-action\">CVE Binary Tool Action<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 eine GitHub Action zur \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung von Repositories auf bekannte Schwachstellen mithilfe des CVE Binary Tools. Es konnte Bin\u00e4rdateien, Komponentenlisten und SBOM scannen und die Ergebnisse im Sicherheits-Tab sowie in HTML-\/JSON-\/PDF-Berichten ver\u00f6ffentlichen. Intel hat dieses Repository ebenfalls archiviert und nimmt keine \u00c4nderungen mehr an.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p><strong><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/VCDP\/SMTA\">SMTA<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 Streaming Media Transcoding Application, eine Demoversion, die die M\u00f6glichkeiten der Video-Transkodierung auf integrierter Intel-Grafik zeigt.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p><strong><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/intel\/trusted-ledger-config-store\">Intel Trusted Ledger Config Store<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 ein Projekt unter der MIT-Lizenz, das mit der Speicherung von Daten f\u00fcr Intel SGX Enclave Identity Collaterals verbunden ist. Das Repository wurde am 18. Mai 2026 archiviert; Intel gab gesondert an, dass keine weitere Unterst\u00fctzung, Korrekturen oder neue Releases garantiert sind.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p><strong><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/IntelLabs\/SCAP\">SCAP<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 ein Forschungsprojekt von Intel Labs zur Statistical Calibrated Activation Pruning, also einer der Techniken zur Reduzierung von Aktivierungen in neuronalen Modellen.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Phoronix stellte auch fest, dass <strong>Intel Self-Governed Remote Attestation<\/strong> zun\u00e4chst archiviert wurde, aber am selben Tag wurde diese Entscheidung r\u00fcckg\u00e4ngig gemacht, sodass das Projekt anscheinend weiterhin bestehen bleibt.<\/p>\n<p><noindex><\/p>\n<p>Dies ist bereits die zweite derartige Welle. Am 18. Mai berichtete Phoronix <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phoronix.com\/news\/Intel-May-2026-OSS-Archived\">\u00fcber die Schlie\u00dfung<\/a> anderer Intel-Projekte, einschlie\u00dflich <strong>BigDL Time Series Toolkit<\/strong>, robotergest\u00fctztes Erstellen von LIDAR-Karten, Terraform-Module f\u00fcr Intel\/IBM VM, Edge Software Provisioner, IPEX LLM Tutorial, RTOS IF Drivers und Multi-Rail Power Sequencer. Einige davon schienen nischenspezifisch oder wenig unterst\u00fctzbar zu sein, aber unter ihnen waren auch Projekte, die die M\u00f6glichkeiten von Xeon, Intel GPU, Edge-Szenarien und die Infrastruktur rund um AI demonstrierten.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><br \/>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p>Noch fr\u00fcher, im April, schloss Intel <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phoronix.com\/news\/Intel-Ends-OSS-Evangelism-Repos\">das Repository<\/a> <strong>Open Ecosystem Community and Evangelism<\/strong>, wo Materialien zu Open-Source-Initiativen und der Arbeit der Evangelisten des Unternehmens zu finden waren. Gleichzeitig wurden die Projekte Predictive Assets Maintenance, High Density Scalable Load Balancer, Double Batched FFT Library und Intel Edge AI Performance Evaluation Toolkit archiviert.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><br \/>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p>Der Kontext dieser Geschichte ist unangenehm f\u00fcr die Gemeinschaft: Intel wurde \u00fcber Jahrzehnte als einer der wichtigsten Unternehmensakteure im Linux-\u00d6kosystem und der freien Software angesehen, hat jedoch im letzten Jahr bereits mehrere bedeutende Richtungen eingestellt, darunter <strong>Clear Linux<\/strong>. Im M\u00e4rz 2026 <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phoronix.com\/news\/Clear-Linux-Org-No-More\">berichtete Phoronix separat<\/a>, dass die Website ClearLinux.org vollst\u00e4ndig abgeschaltet wurde, obwohl Archive von Clear Linux auf GitHub weiterhin verf\u00fcgbar sind.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/p>\n<p>Es geht dabei jedoch nicht um einen vollst\u00e4ndigen R\u00fcckzug von Intel aus dem Open Source-Bereich. Das Unternehmen bleibt nach wie vor ein wichtiger Akteur in der Entwicklung des Linux-Kernels, von Compilern und von Low-Level-Software, die direkt mit seinen heutigen Hardware- und Serverbereichen verbunden ist. Aber die allgemeine Ausrichtung wirkt deutlich eingeschr\u00e4nkter: Intel reduziert periphere, Forschungs- und Demonstrationsprojekte und konzentriert die Ressourcen dort, wo sie n\u00e4her am aktuellen Gesch\u00e4ft und der Produktlinie liegen.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr Benutzer und Maintainer bedeutet dies eine einfache Sache: Wenn ein Projekt von Intel in das Archiv verschoben wurde, kann nicht mehr mit offiziellen Korrekturen und Updates gerechnet werden.
