Im Vergleich zur Original-Engine bietet OpenMW eine modernisierte Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che, verbesserte Grafiken, einen eigenen Editor OpenMW-CS zur Erstellung neuer Spiele und Mods, die Nutzung der Physik-Simulations-Engine Bullet, Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr macOS und Linux sowie ein verbessertes Bot-Verhalten. <\/p>\n<p>Der Projektcode ist in C++ geschrieben und steht unter der GPLv3-Lizenz. Im Interface des Editors OpenMW-CS und des Launchers wird Qt verwendet, w\u00e4hrend im Spielinterface MyGUI zum Einsatz kommt. F\u00fcr die Eingabeger\u00e4te wird SDL genutzt und f\u00fcr die Audioausgabe kommt OpenAL zum Einsatz. Fertige Builds sind f\u00fcr Linux (flatpak), Windows und macOS vorbereitet. Zum Starten sind die Spieldateien aus dem Originalspiel Morrowind oder die Installation eines alternativen Ressourcenpakets erforderlich.<\/p>\n<p>In der neuen Version: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Mod-Entwicklern wurde die M\u00f6glichkeit gegeben, magische Effekte \u00fcber eine Skript-API zu erstellen.\n<li class=\"l\"> Der Inhaltseditor hat die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr das Malen auf den Vertex einer 3D-Mesh (Vertex Painting) hinzugef\u00fcgt, um realistische Landschaften zu erstellen.\n<li class=\"l\"> Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr MRK-Dateien hinzugef\u00fcgt, die f\u00fcr die Lokalisierung von Schl\u00fcsselw\u00f6rtern in den Dialogen der russischsprachigen Version von Morrowind verwendet werden.\n<li class=\"l\"> Im Gameplay werden Sounds aus dem Spiel Hand to Hand Hit 2 verwendet.\n<li class=\"l\"> Es wurde die M\u00f6glichkeit implementiert, zus\u00e4tzliche Tasten von Spielcontrollern f\u00fcr Aktionen zu verwenden.\n<li class=\"l\"> Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr
