Die erste Version erschien 2013 und wurde wenig sp\u00e4ter Teil der Linux Foundation. Im M\u00e4rz dieses Jahres <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxfoundation.org\/press-release\/2019\/03\/opendaylight-most-pervasive-open-source-sdn-controller-celebrates-sixth-anniversary-with-neon-release\/\">wurde die zehnte Version ver\u00f6ffentlicht,<\/a><\/noindex> und die Zahl der Nutzer \u00fcberschritt eine Milliarde.<\/p>\n<p>Der Controller umfasst ein System zur Erstellung virtueller Netzwerke, eine Sammlung von Plugins zur Unterst\u00fctzung verschiedener Protokolle und Tools zum Bereitstellen einer voll funktionsf\u00e4higen SDN-Plattform. Dank der API <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opendaylight.org\/what-we-do\/odl-platform-overview\">kann<\/a><\/noindex> l\u00e4sst sich OpenDaylight mit anderen Controllern integrieren. Der Kern der L\u00f6sung wurde in Java geschrieben, sodass es mit jedem System, das eine JVM hat, kompatibel ist.<\/p>\n<p>Plattform <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.opendaylight.org\/en\/latest\/downloads.html\">wird unter der GPLv3-Lizenz bereitgestellt.<\/a><\/noindex> Es ist sowohl in Form von RPM-Paketen und universellen Bin\u00e4r-Builds als auch als vorab konfigurierte Bilder von virtuellen Maschinen auf Basis von Fedora und Ubuntu verf\u00fcgbar. Es handelt sich um ein SDK auf Basis der OpenDaylight-Plattform. Das Ziel des Projekts Lighty.io ist es, die Entwicklung von SDN-L\u00f6sungen in Java, Python und Go zu vereinfachen und zu beschleunigen.<\/p>\n<p>Das Framework bietet eine Vielzahl von Werkzeugen zur Fehlersuche im SDN-Umfeld. Insbesondere erm\u00f6glicht Lighty.io die Emulation von Netzwerkger\u00e4ten und das Programmieren ihres Verhaltens. Es automatisiert die Bereitstellung von Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systemen und Antivirenl\u00f6sungen. OSC fungiert als Vermittler zwischen dem Sicherheitsmanager und einer Vielzahl von Sicherheitsfunktionen und -umgebungen. Dabei ist es in der Lage, in Multi-Cloud-Umgebungen zu arbeiten.<\/p>\n<p>Ein Plus von OSC ist die Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit von spezifischen Software- oder Hardware-Produkten. Das Tool ist jedoch f\u00fcr den Einsatz in gro\u00dfen Unternehmensnetzwerken optimiert. Es zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass es die Funktionen eines SDN-Controllers mit einem Netzwerk- und Serverbetriebssystem kombiniert. Durch diese Kombination erm\u00f6glicht das Tool, alle Vorg\u00e4nge in den Netzwerken zu \u00fcberwachen, und vereinfacht die Migration von traditioneller Architektur zu SDN.<\/p>\n<p>Ein \u201eEngpass\u201c der Plattform ist die Sicherheit. Laut Daten von <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennetworking.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/secperf_report_2.pdf\">Bericht<\/a><\/noindex> 2018 weist ONOS eine Reihe offener Sicherheitsanf\u00e4lligkeiten auf. Es wurde umbenannt, nachdem es unter die Fittiche der Linux Foundation kam. Tungsten Fabric ist ein offenes Plugin f\u00fcr die Virtualisierung von Netzwerken, das mit virtuellen Maschinen, Bare-Metal-Lasten und Containern funktioniert.<\/p>\n<p>Das Plugin kann schnell mit beliebten Orchestrierungswerkzeugen integriert werden: OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, vCenter.
