K\u00fcrzlich haben sie begonnen, es von C auf C++ (unter Verwendung der M\u00f6glichkeiten von C++17) neu zu schreiben. Das neue Projekt, das den Namen F18 tr\u00e4gt, unterst\u00fctzt gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils die im Flang-Projekt implementierten Funktionen, implementiert die Unterst\u00fctzung des Fortran 2018 Standards und unterst\u00fctzt OpenMP 4.5.<\/p>\n<p>Die LLVM Foundation hat empfohlen, den Projektnamen in etwas annehmbareres und offensichtlicheres f\u00fcr neue Entwickler und Mailinglisten zu \u00e4ndern. Zudem wurde dem F18-Projekt empfohlen, die Bindung an den C++17 Standard zu \u00fcberdenken.
