In Zukunft werden die Computersysteme von Fermilab und anderen am Projekt beteiligten Laboren auf CentOS 8 umgestellt. Ein neuer Zweig von Scientific Linux 8, der auf der Paketbasis <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=49613\">Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8<\/a><\/noindex>, wird nicht gebildet.<\/p>\n<p>Anstelle der Pflege einer eigenen Distribution beabsichtigen die Entwickler von Fermilab, mit CERN und anderen wissenschaftlichen Organisationen zusammenzuarbeiten, um CentOS zu verbessern und es zu einer qualitativ hochwertigeren Plattform f\u00fcr die Computersysteme zu machen, die bei der Organisation von Experimenten zur Hochenergiephysik verwendet werden. Der \u00dcbergang zu CentOS wird es erm\u00f6glichen, die Computerplattformen f\u00fcr wissenschaftliche Anwendungen zu vereinheitlichen, was die Organisation von Arbeiten in bestehenden und zuk\u00fcnftigen internationalen Projekten, die verschiedene Labore und Institute umfassen, vereinfachen wird. <\/p>\n<p>Die Ressourcen, die durch die Delegierung der Pflege des CentOS-Projekts und der Infrastruktur freigesetzt werden, k\u00f6nnen zur Verbesserung von komponenten verwendet werden, die spezifisch f\u00fcr wissenschaftliche Anwendungen sind. Der \u00dcbergang von Scientific Linux zu CentOS sollte keine Probleme verursachen, da bereits im Rahmen der Vorbereitung des Zweigs Scientific Linux 6 spezifische Anwendungen und zus\u00e4tzliche Treiber f\u00fcr wissenschaftliche Anwendungen in externe Repositories verschoben wurden.  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/fedoraproject.org\/wiki\/EPEL\">EPEL<\/a><\/noindex> und <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/elrepo.org\/\">elrepo.org<\/a><\/noindex>Wie im Fall von CentOS lagen die Unterschiede zwischen Scientific Linux und RHEL im Wesentlichen in der Umbenennung und dem Entfernen von Bindungen an Red Hat-Dienste. <\/p>\n<p>Die Unterst\u00fctzung der bestehenden Zweige Scientific Linux 6.x und 7.x wird ohne \u00c4nderungen fortgesetzt, synchron mit dem regul\u00e4ren <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/access.redhat.com\/support\/policy\/updates\/errata\">Support-Zyklus<\/a><\/noindex> von RHEL 6.x und 7.x. Updates f\u00fcr Scientific Linux 6.x werden bis zum 30. November 2020 ver\u00f6ffentlicht, f\u00fcr den Zweig 7.x bis zum 30.
