Drew DeVault<\/a>, aktiver Entwickler des Wayland-Protokolls, Sch\u00f6pfer des Projekts Sway<\/a> und der zugeh\u00f6rigen Bibliothek wlroots<\/a> k\u00fcndigte in seinem Mikroblog an<\/a> einen neuen Wayland-Composer \u2014 Wio<\/a>, dessen Implementierung f\u00fcr ein Fenstersystem Rio<\/a>, das im Betriebssystem verwendet wird Plan 9<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Der Composer ahmt \u00e4u\u00dferlich das Design und Verhalten des urspr\u00fcnglichen Rio nach, indem er Fenster von Terminals mit der Maus erstellt, bewegt und entfernt und grafische Programme innerhalb dieser Fenster startet (Portierung von Rio auf X11 aus dem Projekt Plan 9 from User Space<\/a> wiederholte nicht die urspr\u00fcngliche Funktionalit\u00e4t und erstellte einfach ein neues Fenster neben dem Programm).<\/p>\n

Im Inneren wird ein wlroots-Composer verwendet Cage<\/a> zur Erstellung von \"Kiosken\", dessen Code es erm\u00f6glicht, mehrere Wayland-Displays im Kontext einer Benutzersitzung zu starten. Laut DeVault ist dies eine der interessanten Funktionen, die den grundlegenden Unterschied im Design von Wayland im Vergleich zu X11 zeigt, wo dies einfach unm\u00f6glich oder schwer erreichbar ist.<\/p>\n
