Der Entwickler des seit 2004 entwickelten Tools zur \u00dcberwachung des Systemstatus dstat<\/a><\/noindex>, das einen universellen und funktionaleren Ersatz f\u00fcr die Tools vmstat, iostat, mpstat, netstat und ifstat bot, berichtete<\/a><\/noindex> \u00fcber die Einstellung der Projektentwicklung aufgrund eines Namenskonflikts, der durch die Aktionen von Red Hat verursacht wurde. Die Motivation verschwand, nachdem Red Hat beschlossen hatte, dstat<\/a><\/noindex> ein neues, selbstentwickeltes Tool (aus dem Set Performance Co-Pilot<\/a><\/noindex>), angeboten<\/a><\/noindex> unter dem gleichen Namen. <\/p>\n

Der Autor von dstat sieht keinen Sinn mehr in der Weiterentwicklung des Projekts und ist nicht bereit, gegen einen milliardenschweren Konzern zu k\u00e4mpfen, der die Unethik der Schaffung konkurrierender Produkte unter dem gleichen Namen beweist. Alle Meldungen \u00fcber Probleme und Fehler im Original-dstat sollen ab sofort an Red Hat gerichtet werden.
\n\u00dcber 40 zuvor offene Probleme wurden geschlossen<\/a><\/noindex> mit der Bemerkung, dass die Behebung an Red Hat gerichtet werden sollte.<\/p>\n
