Die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von Updates f\u00fcr die Version 9.4 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.postgresql.org\/support\/versioning\/\">wird bis<\/a><\/noindex>   bis Dezember 2019, 9.5 bis Januar 2021, 9.6 \u2014 bis September 2021, 10 \u2014 bis Oktober 2022, 11 \u2014 bis November 2023. <\/p>\n<p>In den neuen Versionen wurden 25 Fehler behoben und eine Schwachstelle (CVE-2019-10164) beseitigt, die zu einem Puffer\u00fcberlauf f\u00fchren kann, wenn ein Benutzer sein Passwort \u00e4ndert. Mit dieser Schwachstelle kann ein lokal eingeloggter Angreifer \u00fcber die Eingabe eines sehr langen Passworts die Ausf\u00fchrung seines Codes mit den Rechten des Benutzers, unter dem das DBMS l\u00e4uft, initiieren. Zudem kann die Schwachstelle auf der Benutzerseite w\u00e4hrend der SCRAM-Authentifizierung durch einen libpq-basierten Client ausgenutzt werden, wenn der Benutzer einen von einem Angreifer kontrollierten PostgreSQL-Server anspricht.
