Situation<\/a><\/noindex> Mit dem Verzicht auf 32-Bit-Pakete in Ubuntu hat die Entwicklung einen neuen Schub erhalten. Auf der Diskussionsplattform k\u00fcndigte Steve Langasek von Canonical an, gab an,<\/a><\/noindex>, dass Pakete aus der Bibliothek von Ubuntu 18.04 eingesetzt werden sollen. Dies wird die Nutzung von Spielen und Anwendungen f\u00fcr die Architektur x86 erm\u00f6glichen, jedoch wird es keine Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr die Bibliotheken selbst geben. Das hei\u00dft, sie verbleiben in dem Status, den sie in Ubuntu 18.04 erhalten haben.<\/p>\n

Dadurch wird es m\u00f6glich sein, Spiele mit Steam, Wine usw. unter Ubuntu 19.10 zu installieren und auszuf\u00fchren. Da die Version 18.04 im kostenlosen Angebot bis April 2023 und im kostenpflichtigen Angebot bis 2028 unterst\u00fctzt wird, werden die Bibliotheken einfach portiert. Es wird erwartet, dass dies teilweise das Problem der Kompatibilit\u00e4t mit 32-Bit-Anwendungen l\u00f6st.<\/p>\n

Dar\u00fcber hinaus wird der Verzicht auf 32-Bit-Bibliotheken dazu f\u00fchren, dass einige Linux-Treiber f\u00fcr Drucker nicht mehr funktionieren.
