Alexander Larsson, Entwickler von Flatpak und aktives Mitglied der GNOME-Community, ver\u00f6ffentlichte<\/a><\/noindex> Zweite Ausgabe des Projekts Gthree<\/a><\/noindex>, entwickelt einen Port der 3D-Bibliothek three.js<\/a><\/noindex> f\u00fcr GObject und GTK, der in der Praxis f\u00fcr die Integration von 3D-Effekten in GNOME-Anwendungen verwendet werden kann. Die Gthree-API ist praktisch identisch mit three.js und beinhaltet auch einen Loader f\u00fcr glTF<\/a><\/noindex> (GL Transmission Format) sowie die M\u00f6glichkeit zur Verwendung von PBR-basierten Materialien (Physically Based Rendering) in Modellen. F\u00fcr die Darstellung wird nur OpenGL unterst\u00fctzt.<\/p>\n

In der neuen Version wurde die Unterst\u00fctzung der Klasse Raycaster<\/a><\/noindex> mit der Implementierung der gleichnamigen Rendering-Methode hinzugef\u00fcgt,<\/a><\/noindex>die verwendet werden kann, um festzustellen, \u00fcber welchen Objekten im 3D-Raum sich die Maus befindet (z. B. zur Auswahl von 3D-Objekten aus der Szene). Dar\u00fcber hinaus wurde ein neuer Typ der Punktbeleuchtung (GthreeSpotLight) hinzugef\u00fcgt und die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr Schattenkarten erm\u00f6glicht, die es Objekten, die sich vor der Lichtquelle befinden, erlauben, Schatten auf das Zielobjekt zu werfen.<\/p>\n
