Derzeit wurde bereits ein Demopaket als Snap-Paket vorbereitet <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/snapcraft.io\/mate-wayland\">mate-wayland<\/a><\/noindex> mit der MATE-Umgebung auf Basis von Wayland, jedoch ist noch viel Arbeit erforderlich, um ihn f\u00fcr den allt\u00e4glichen Gebrauch bereit zu machen, haupts\u00e4chlich hinsichtlich der Portierung der MATE-Anwendungen auf Wayland.<\/p>\n<p>Das Problem besteht darin, dass viele MATE-Anwendungen Bindungen an X11-spezifische Funktionen verwenden, die auf vollst\u00e4ndig portablen GTK3-Code umgestellt werden m\u00fcssen. Angesichts der Vielzahl von Anwendungen und der signifikanten Codebasis erfordert die Arbeit sp\u00fcrbare Ressourcen. Um interessierte Enthusiasten f\u00fcr die Portierung zu gewinnen, haben die Entwickler von Mir <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/discourse.ubuntu.com\/t\/porting-mate-apps-to-wayland\/12670\">Anleitung<\/a><\/noindex>, die erkl\u00e4ren, wie man die MATE-Umgebung auf Basis von Wayland einrichtet und auf welche Aspekte im Code man achten sollte.
