OpenIndiana bietet dem Benutzer eine Arbeitsumgebung, die auf einem aktuellen Snapshot des Projektcodes basiert. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.illumos.org\/\">Illumos<\/a><\/noindex>. Die Entwicklung der OpenSolaris-Technologien wird durch das Illumos-Projekt fortgesetzt, in dem der Kernel, der Netzwerk-Stack, Dateisysteme, Treiber sowie ein grundlegendes Set an Benutzer-Systemwerkzeugen und -bibliotheken entwickelt werden. Zur Verf\u00fcgung stehen <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/dlc.openindiana.org\/isos\/hipster\/\">gebildet<\/a><\/noindex> drei Arten von ISO-Images \u2013 Server-Edition mit Konsolenanwendungen (723 MB), Minimalversion (431 MB) und Version mit grafischer Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che MATE (1,6 GB).<\/p>\n<p>Haupt- <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.openindiana.org\/oi\/2019.10+Release+notes\">\u00c4nderungen<\/a><\/noindex> In OpenIndiana 2019.10:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Die Paketverwaltung IPS (Image Packaging System) wurde auf Python 3 umgestellt.
