Die Organisation Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), die zu den Gr\u00fcndern der gemeinn\u00fctzigen Zertifizierungsstelle Let’s Encrypt geh\u00f6rt, hat<\/a><\/noindex> Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der Werkzeuge Certbot 1.0<\/a><\/noindex>, wurde zur Vereinfachung der Beantragung von TLS\/SSL-Zertifikaten und zur Automatisierung der HTTPS-Konfiguration auf Web-Servern entwickelt. Certbot kann auch als Client-Software verwendet werden, um mit verschiedenen Zertifizierungsstellen zu kommunizieren, die das ACME-Protokoll verwenden. Der Projektcode ist in Python geschrieben und wird verbreitet<\/a><\/noindex> unter der Apache 2.0 Lizenz.<\/p>\n

Certbot erm\u00f6glicht nicht nur die Automatisierung der Beschaffung und Erneuerung von Zertifikaten, sondern generiert auch vorkonfigurierte Einstellungen f\u00fcr die Einrichtung von HTTPS in Apache httpd, nginx und haproxy in verschiedenen Linux-Distributionen und BSD-Systemen sowie f\u00fcr die Umleitung von Anfragen von HTTP auf HTTPS. Der private Schl\u00fcssel f\u00fcr das Zertifikat wird auf der Benutzerseite generiert. Es besteht die M\u00f6glichkeit, erhaltene Zertifikate im Falle einer Kompromittierung des Systems zu widerrufen.<\/p>\n
