John Martinson hat die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von Robolinux 10.6 angek\u00fcndigt, dem neuesten Update der Ubuntu-basierten Distribution des Projekts mit integriertem VirtualBox f\u00fcr Betriebssysteme, die nicht Linux sind. Diese Ausgabe richtet sich an Benutzer von Microsoft Windows 7, deren Unterst\u00fctzung n\u00e4chsten Monat endet.<\/p>\n

Da die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr Windows 7 am 14. Januar 2020 ausl\u00e4uft, rechnet Robolinux mit einer gro\u00dfen Zahl neuer Linux-Nutzer, die nicht auf eine neue Version umsteigen wollen. Dies geschah bereits im April 2014, als die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr Windows XP endete. Diesmal wird Robolinux Bildschirmfreigaben anbieten, um neuen Nutzern zu helfen, die keine Linux-Schulungen absolvieren m\u00f6chten.<\/p>\n

Um sich auf eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl neuer Linux-Nutzer vorzubereiten, haben die Entwickler daf\u00fcr gesorgt, dass alle f\u00fcnf Versionen der 10. Serie \u2013 Cinnamon, Mate 3D, Xfce, LXDE und GNOME \u2013 so zuverl\u00e4ssig wie m\u00f6glich sind, dank neuer Kerne, Hardwaretreibern und mehr als f\u00fcnfhundert Sicherheits- und Anwendungsupdates.<\/p>\n

VirtualBox wurde auf Version 5.2.34 aktualisiert.<\/p>\n
