Dieser Speicher speichert Informationen \u00e4hnlich wie das Aufzeichnen auf einer magnetischen Platte einer Festplatte. Nur dass jede Zelle des Chips ihren eigenen (bedingten) Lesekopf hat. Der neue STT-MRAM-Speicher, der auf dem Spin-Transfer-Effekt beruht, funktioniert mit noch geringeren energischen Aufwendungen, da er mit kleineren Str\u00f6men in den Lese- und Schreibmodi arbeitet.<\/p>\n<p>Urspr\u00fcnglich stellte die Firma NXP im Auftrag von Everspin MRAM-Speicher in ihrem Werk in den USA her. Im Jahr 2014 schloss Everspin eine Vereinbarung \u00fcber die Zusammenarbeit mit GlobalFoundries. Zusammen begannen sie, die Technologien zur Herstellung von diskreten und eingebetteten MRAM (STT-MRAM) mit fortschrittlicheren Prozessschritte zu entwickeln.<\/p>\n<p>Im Laufe der Zeit wurde bei GlobalFoundries die Herstellung von 40-nm- und 28-nm-STT-MRAM-Chips (einschlie\u00dflich der Neuheit \u2013 1-Gbit-STT-MRAM-Chip) etabliert, und der Prozess 22FDX f\u00fcr die Integration von STT-MRAM-Arrays in Controller unter Verwendung des 22-nm-Prozesses auf FD-SOI-Wafern wurde vorbereitet.
