Die Android-TV-Box Xiaomi Mi Box S wurde bereits im vierten Quartal 2018 vorgestellt. Das Ger\u00e4t kommt mit einem \u00fcberarbeiteten Design und einer neuen Fernbedienung, w\u00e4hrend die interne Hardware die gleiche bleibt wie beim Vorg\u00e4ngermodell. Jetzt hat Xiaomi die urspr\u00fcnglich mit Android 8.1 TV ver\u00f6ffentlichte Box auf Android 9 Pie aktualisiert.<\/p>\n

Die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe des Updates betr\u00e4gt etwas mehr als 600 MB und beinhaltet zahlreiche Fehlerbehebungen, die in der vorherigen Softwareversion vorhanden waren. So wurde im neuen Softwareupdate ein Fehler behoben, der dazu f\u00fchren konnte, dass die Chromecast-Funktion nicht funktionierte. Au\u00dferdem wurden das H\u00e4ngenbleiben bei der Wiedergabe von Inhalten in einigen Anwendungen und ein H.264-Dekodierungsfehler korrigiert. Dazu kommt die Behebung der Desynchronisation von Audio und Video, wenn Audio auf Bluetooth-Ger\u00e4ten wiedergegeben wird. Dar\u00fcber hinaus wurde ein Kompatibilit\u00e4tsproblem mit HDMI behoben sowie viele weitere Fehler fr\u00fcherer Softwareversionen.<\/p>\n

Leider kann die Firmware nicht auf der originalen Xiaomi Mi Box installiert werden, obwohl beide Ger\u00e4te \u00fcber die gleiche Hardware-Plattform verf\u00fcgen.<\/p>\n
