Im Jahr 2021 wird CentOS 8 als eigenst\u00e4ndiger Unternehmens-Remake-Distrubutiv faktisch nicht mehr existieren und zu CentOS Stream werden, das als \u201eGateway\u201c zwischen Fedora und RHEL dient. Das bedeutet, dass es im Vergleich zu RHEL neuere Pakete enthalten wird. Fehler werden jedoch zuerst f\u00fcr RHEL behoben und dann in CentOS portiert, wie es bereits der Fall ist.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Laut den Aussagen der Maintainer<\/a>, bedeutet dies nicht, dass CentOS zu einer Beta-Version von Red Hat Enterprise Linux wird. Es wird erwartet, dass darin aktuellere Pakete mit weniger Fehlern enthalten sind. Die bin\u00e4re Kompatibilit\u00e4t zu RHEL wird jedoch verlorengehen.<\/p>\n
