Das Problem wird durch einen Fehler im Wi-Fi P2P-Handler verursacht, der dazu f\u00fchren kann, dass die Verarbeitung eines fehlerhaft formatierten PDR-Rahmens (Provision Discovery Request) zu einem Zustand f\u00fchrt, in dem der Eintrag eines alten P2P-Paares gel\u00f6scht wird und Informationen in einen bereits freigegebenen Speicherblock (use-after-free) geschrieben werden. Betroffen sind wpa_supplicant-Versionen von 1.0 bis 2.9, die mit der Option CONFIG_P2P erstellt wurden. <\/p>\n

Die Schwachstelle wird in der Version wpa_supplicant 2.10 behoben. In den Distributionen wurde ein Update mit dem Fix bereits f\u00fcr Fedora Linux ver\u00f6ffentlicht.
