Die erste Version des Projekts labwc wurde ver\u00f6ffentlicht, das einen Kompositionsserver f\u00fcr Wayland entwickelt, der Funktionen \u00e4hnlich dem Fenstermanager Openbox bietet (das Projekt wird als Versuch pr\u00e4sentiert, eine Alternative zu Openbox f\u00fcr Wayland zu schaffen). Zu den Merkmalen von labwc geh\u00f6ren Minimalismus, kompakte Implementierung, umfassende Anpassungsm\u00f6glichkeiten und hohe Leistung. Der Code des Projekts ist in C geschrieben und wird unter der GPLv2-Lizenz ver\u00f6ffentlicht. <\/p>\n

Als Grundlage wird die Bibliothek wlroots verwendet, die von den Entwicklern der Benutzerumgebung Sway weiterentwickelt wird und grundlegende Funktionen f\u00fcr die Organisation der Arbeit eines Kompositionsmanagers auf Basis von Wayland bietet. Um X11-Anwendungen in einer Umgebung auf der Basis des Wayland-Protokolls auszuf\u00fchren, wird die Verwendung der DDX-Komponente XWayland unterst\u00fctzt. <\/p>\n

Erweiterungen k\u00f6nnen angeschlossen werden, die Funktionen wie das Erstellen von Screenshots, die Anzeige von Desktop-Hintergr\u00fcnden und das Hinzuf\u00fcgen von Panels und Men\u00fcs bieten. Zum Beispiel stehen drei Optionen f\u00fcr das Anwendungsmen\u00fc zur Auswahl \u2014 bemenu, fuzzel und wofi. Als Panel kann Waybar verwendet werden. Das Design, das Hauptmen\u00fc und die Tastenkombinationen werden \u00fcber Konfigurationsdateien im XML-Format angepasst. <\/p>\n
