A new version of the Ultimaker Cura 4.11 package is available, providing a graphical interface for preparing models for 3D printing (slicing). Based on the model, the program determines the 3D printer's operating scenario for the sequential application of each layer. In the simplest case, it is enough to import the model in one of the supported formats (STL, OBJ, X3D, 3MF, BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG), select the speed, material, and quality settings, and send the task to print. There are plugins for integration with SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor, and other CAD systems. The CuraEngine is used to translate the 3D model into a set of instructions for the 3D printer. The project code is written in Python and is distributed under the LGPLv3 license. The GUI is built using the Uranium framework, which utilizes Qt.
In the new release:
- A new mode for forming upper and lower surfaces Monotonic has been added to the settings, allowing for printing with smoother and flatter surfaces, for example, to create more aesthetically pleasing demonstration prototypes or to ensure tighter contact with other parts.

- The user interface has been updated. Over 100 new icons have been added to simplify the identification of various operations, and icons can now scale based on window size. The design of notifications and warnings has been revised.

- Integration with the Digital Library has been improved, and collaboration on shared projects has been simplified. A new search function has been added to the library, allowing users to search by project name, tags, and description.
- The ability to record all third-party material profiles onto a USB drive for manual updating of material lists in 3D printers has been added.
- An option to display notifications for new versions of plugins and beta versions of Ultimaker Cura has been added.
- The log's informational content regarding authentication failures has been enhanced.
- The search in the visibility settings now takes into account the content of the setting descriptions.
- Descriptions of new printers and materials have been added. For instance, support for printers BIQU BX, SecKit SK-Tank, SK-Go, MP Mini Delta 2, Kingroon K3P/K3PS, FLSun Super race, Atom 2.0, Atom Plus PBR 3D Gen-I, Creasee 3D, Voron V0, GooFoo, Renkforce, Farm 2, and Farm2CE has been added.
