The openSUSE project announced its intention to create additional intermediate respin builds, in addition to the builds published annually during the next release. Respin builds will include all package updates accumulated for the current version of openSUSE Leap, allowing for a reduction in the amount of data that needs to be downloaded to bring a freshly installed distribution up to date.
ISO images with intermediate respins of the distribution are planned to be published quarterly or as needed. For the release of openSUSE Leap 15.3, respin builds will be numbered "15.3-X". After the release of a new respin build, the old build will be removed from the website get.opensuse.org.
