An unofficial build of the experimental LineageOS 19.0 firmware, based on the Android 12 platform, has been created for Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and Compute Module 4 boards with 2, 4, or 8 GB of RAM, as well as for the Raspberry Pi 400. The source code of the firmware is available on GitHub. To run Google services and applications, you can install the OpenGApps package, but its proper functionality is not guaranteed, as support for Android 12 in OpenGApps is still under development.
The builds support graphics acceleration (V3D, OpenGL, Vulkan, integrated fresh Mesa 21.2.5 release), sound subsystem (Audio DAC, output through HDMI, 3.5mm, USB, Bluetooth), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (including hotspot mode), GPIO, GPS (via external USB module U-Blox 7), Ethernet, HDMI, I2C, sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, temperature, pressure, humidity), SPI, touchscreen control, USB (keyboard, mouse, storage devices), USB-C (ADB, MTP, PTP, USB tethering). Currently, there is no support for the camera and hardware video encoding/decoding.
Notably, there is the update of the Android 11 environment for various models of Orange Pi boards, Raspberry Pi 4, the Pinephone, and the Pinetab tablet developed by the GloDroid project. The GloDroid edition is based on the code of the Android 11 mobile platform from the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) repository and focuses on supporting devices based on Allwinner processors and Broadcom platforms. The project strives to adhere to the original version of Android available in the AOSP repository as closely as possible and uses only open drivers, including those for GPU and VPU. The ready builds based on the new GloDroid 0.7 release are still being formed, but all components necessary for independent assembly are available.
