The release of the Linux distribution ArchLabs 2021.01.18 has been published, based on the Arch Linux package base and delivered with a lightweight desktop environment based on the Openbox window manager (i3, Bspwm, Awesome, JWM, dk, Fluxbox, Xfce, Deepin, GNOME, Cinnamon, Sway are optionally available). The ABIF installer is offered for setting up a stationary installation. The base package includes applications such as Thunar, Termite, Geany, Firefox, Audacious, MPV, and Skippy-XD. The size of the installable ISO image is 959 MB.
The new version adds support for the tiling window manager dk and the Sway desktop environment, which uses Wayland. The implementation of the Xfce-based session has been improved. Packages in the repository have been updated and the theme has been refreshed. A new version of the BAPH utility for working with AUR repositories has been introduced, which includes a new option for checking for updates.
