The release of the specialized distribution Tails 4.28 (The Amnesic Incognito Live System) has been formed, based on the Debian package base and designed for anonymous web access. Anonymous access in Tails is provided by the Tor system. All connections, except for traffic through the Tor network, are blocked by the packet filter by default. For storing user data in persistence mode between launches, encryption is applied. An ISO image capable of operating in Live mode, sized at 1.1 GB, is prepared for download.
In this release, the versions of the Tor tools have been updated to 0.4.6.10, Tor Browser to 11.0.7, and the email client Thunderbird to 91.6.1. Extraction of Tor Browser from its own archive has been implemented. Debug logging for obfs4proxy has been included. The testing infrastructure has ensured the distribution's functioning when using the actual Tor network.
At the same time, a new version of the Tor Browser 11.0.7, focused on anonymity, security, and privacy, has been released. This release is synchronized with the Firefox 91.7.0 ESR codebase, in which 5 vulnerabilities have been fixed. The versions of Tor 0.4.6.10 and NoScript 11.3.7 have been updated. The message panel style on the page "about:preferences#tor" has been refreshed.
