CrossOver 21.2 release for Linux, Chrome OS, and macOS

CodeWeavers has released Crossover 21.2, based on Wine code and designed to run programs and games written for the Windows platform. CodeWeavers is among the key contributors to the Wine project, sponsoring its development and returning all innovations made for its commercial products to the project. In the new version:

  • The Wine Mono engine with .NET platform implementation has been updated to version 7.0.
  • Fixes have been backported from Wine updates 6.0.1 and 6.0.2.
  • Approximately 300 improvements for the WineD3D library have been carried over.
  • Sound functionality has been ensured in the game 'Halo: Master Chief Collection.'
  • Rendering issues in Office 365, which appeared in Linux and Chrome OS, have been resolved.
  • A problem with very long connection times after updating Steam has been fixed.
  • On macOS, mouse issues in Unity engine-based games have been resolved. Performance has improved on Apple M1 processor systems.
  • Dependency issues for libldap that arose in new Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu 21.10, have been fixed.
