Oracle has released a corrective update for the VirtualBox 6.1.36 virtualization system, which includes 27 fixes.
Key Changes:
- A potential kernel crash of the guest system running Linux has been fixed when enabling 'Speculative Store Bypass' protection mode for a single vCPU VM.

- In the guest additions for Solaris systems, the installer has been enhanced, and issues with screen size in VMSVGA settings have been resolved.
- In guest environments with Linux and Solaris, issues with handling multi-monitor configurations for VBoxVGA and VBoxSVGA drivers have been addressed. The ability to set the primary screen through VBoxManage has been provided. X11 resource leaks during screen resizing and file descriptors when launching processes using guestcontrol have been fixed. A problem with launching processes as root using guestcontrol has been resolved.
- In the guest additions for Linux systems, boot time has been reduced by stopping the re-compilation of unused modules.
