A new monospaced font, Monocraft, has been released, optimized for use in terminal emulators and code editors. The characters in the font are styled to resemble text from the game Minecraft, but additionally refined for improved readability (for example, the appearance of similar characters, such as 'i' and 'l', has been redesigned) and enhanced with a set of ligatures for programmers, including arrows and comparison operators. The original font files are distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which allows for unlimited modification of the font and its use for commercial purposes, printing, and on websites. A bundle in OpenType format is prepared for download.
