The release of Polemarch 2.1.0 has occurred, a web interface for managing server infrastructure based on Ansible. The project's code is written in Python and JavaScript using the Django and Celery frameworks. The project is distributed under the AGPLv3 license. To run the system, it is sufficient to install the package and start one service. For industrial use, it is recommended to additionally use MySQL/PostgreSQL and Redis/RabbitMQ+Redis (cache and message broker). A Docker image is created for each version.
Key Improvements:
- The initialization time of the code has been reduced, and memory usage has been optimized through the refactoring of a large volume of code and various repetitive lists.
- Cloning (for git) or downloading (for tar) code with repo_sync_on_run enabled is now done directly in the launch directory from the source. This feature is particularly useful for those using Polemarch as a CI/CD pipeline.
- A new option has been added to specify the maximum size of the archive that needs to be downloaded during project synchronization. The size is specified in the configuration file in bytes and applies to all projects.
- The functionality for working with repo_sync_on_run_timeout has been redesigned, where for git projects this time is used in git cli timeouts, and for archives it covers the connection establishment time and waiting time for the start of the download.
- The ability to specify a different ANSIBLE_CONFIG within the project has been added. The option to specify a global default config for projects without an ansible.cfg in the root has been retained.
- Minor bugs and inaccuracies in the interface have been fixed, and the core libraries have been updated.
