The release of SystemRescue 9.06 is now available, a specialized Live distribution based on Arch Linux, designed for system recovery after a failure. The graphical environment used is Xfce. The size of the ISO image is 748 MB (amd64, i686).
Changes in the new version:
- The bootable image includes the memory testing program MemTest86+ 6.00, which supports operation on systems with UEFI and can be accessed from the GRUB bootloader menu.
- A new application, sysrescueusbwriter, has been added for creating USB drives with a writable FAT partition.
- The pacman-faketime command has been added for working with packages that have expired digital signatures.
- The configuration file sysconfig has been updated with the options 'bash_history' and 'hosts'.
- The timeout for automatic boot startup has been reduced from 90 to 30 seconds.
- The bootloader now provides the ability to use the console via the serial port (ttyS0,115200n8).
- The ISO builds include checksums generated using isomd5sum.
- New packages inxi and libfaketime have been added.
