From January 2 to 6, 2023, a free online intensive on Linux for 7-8 grade students will take place. The intensive is dedicated to replacing Windows with Linux. Over 5 days, participants will create a backup of their data, install 'Simply Linux,' and transfer their data to Linux on virtual stands. The classes will cover Linux in general and Russian operating systems in particular, backups, familiar and unfamiliar applications, configuring the graphical interface, console, and setting up network connections.
The intensive is expected to give participants the impetus to start working in Linux and begin preparing for youth competitions in Linux: TechnoCactus, ALT-SKILLS, and CacTUX. Classes will be held online from January 2 to 6, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM (MSK).
