Angie 1.1.0 is available, a fork of Nginx from a group of former developers.

The release of the high-performance HTTP server and multi-protocol proxy server Angie 1.1.0, forked from Nginx by a group of former developers who left F5 Networks, has been published. The source code for Angie is available under the BSD license.

The development is supported by the company ā€˜Web Server’, established last autumn and receiving an investment of $1 million. Among the co-owners of Web Server areserver: Valentin Bartenyev (team leader who developed the Nginx Unit product), Ivan Poluyanov (former head of frontend developers at Rambler and Mail.Ru), Oleg Mamontov (head of the support team at NGINX Inc.), and Ruslan Yermilov (ru@FreeBSD.org). Igor Sysoev, the founder of Nginx, who left F5 Networks a year ago, is not participating in the Angie project.
