A corrective release of the Apache OpenOffice 4.1.14 office suite is available, featuring 27 fixes. Ready packages have been prepared for Linux, Windows, and macOS. The new release changes the method of encoding and storing the master password, so users are recommended to back up their OpenOffice profile before installing version 4.1.14, as the new profile will not be compatible with previous releases.
Among the changes in the new version:
- In Calc, support for the DateTime type used in Excel 2010 has been added.
- In Calc, the readability of text in cell comments has been improved.
- In Calc, an issue with displaying the filter removal icon in the toolbar and menu has been resolved.
- In Calc, a bug that caused incorrect changes to cell references when copying and pasting via the clipboard between spreadsheets has been fixed.

- The import of OOXML format documents has been improved.
- The import of SpreadsheetML files created in MS Excel 2003 has been improved.
