The eighth release of starter kits on the ALT Tenth platform has been launched. Most starter kits are live builds that allow users to explore the main graphical desktop environments and window managers (DE/WM) available for ALT operating systems and, if necessary, install the system. Builds based on the stable repository are intended for experienced users. Starter kits differ from distributions by offering more available options and smaller image sizes, as well as licensing conditions (GPL) and a quarterly release schedule.
Starter kits are available for x86_64, i586, and aarch64. The builds are based on Linux kernels version 5.10.170 / 5.15.96; some images apply other versions specified separately. Other architectures are also mentioned separately.
