BlenderGPT — a plugin for controlling Blender commands in natural language

A small plugin, BlenderGPT, has been developed for the 3D modeling system, allowing content generation based on tasks defined in natural language. The interface for inputting commands is designed as an additional tab labeled 'GPT-4 Assistant' in the sidebar of the 3D View, where arbitrary instructions can be entered (for example, 'create 100 cubes in random locations', 'take the existing cubes and make them different sizes') and results can be obtained immediately. The code is written in Python, comprises just over 300 lines, and is distributed under the MIT license.

The working principle involves sending a test request to the ChatGPT chatbot, which uses the GPT-4 model, via the public OpenAI API, adding the note 'Can you please write Blender code for me that accomplishes the following task' to the text specified by the user. Then, the Python code is extracted from the response and executed as a script in Blender. An OpenAI API access key is required for operation (to be specified in the plugin settings menu). The generated code can be monitored via the console (Window > Toggle System Console).
