The new logo is in line with the Firefox logo design, highlighting the connection with Mozilla projects. The new logo is expected to be included in Thunderbird version 115, scheduled for release on July 4th. In addition to the logo, Thunderbird 115 will feature a significantly redesigned user interface and a new sidebar layout that is more user-friendly for beginners (the option to revert to the old sidebar will be preserved).
