Today, November 17, 2023, a significant update to the Calibre ebook reader is being released, numbered 7.0.
The update includes several interesting options, among them:
- A new option for notes for authors, book series, tags, and more, with the ability to export.
- Support for audio in EPUB. It is noted that this may not work on Linux due to codec patents.
- Storage of associated files with the book.
- The program now has its own independent trash bin, allowing you to undo book deletions and automatically restore its files and metadata.
