Hello, everyone! Today AlmaLinux OS Foundation is excited to share some important news regarding our project ELevate (a project that helps migrate between major versions of RHEL derivatives).
Previously, ELevate only supported official repositories (completely excluding third-party ones). However, the AlmaLinux team has made significant improvements!
We are happy to announce that the first step has been taken, and EPEL support is now included in the ELevate project, ensuring smooth migration between CentOS 7 and AlmaLinux 8.
Please note that EPEL support currently works only for AlmaLinux, and migration between EL8 and EL9 is not yet supported, but we have planned to address these issues in the future!
