On December 26, a remix of the Fedora distribution was released, specifically designed for gaming and streaming. This version of Nobara is based on Fedora 39. Notably, the project is led by GloriousEggroll from the Proton-GE project.
The default build is now based on KDE Plasma, whereas the main DE in the previous release was GNOME. Additional builds with Gnome are also available.
This version also includes:
- updates to the Gamescope compositor;
- a new version of Steam;
- updates for OBS Studio;
- updated NVIDIA graphics drivers included;
- enhancements to the Nautilus file manager (in the Gnome build);
- support for Steam Deck OLED;
- and much more.
