The release of the Memtest86+ 7.0 memory testing program is now available. The program is independent of operating systems and can be run directly from the BIOS/UEFI firmware or from a bootloader for a complete memory check. If issues are detected, the built-in Memtest86+ fault mapping can be used in the Linux kernel to exclude problematic areas using the memmap option. The project code is distributed under the GPLv2 license.
Key innovations:
